Create Your Own Longevity Protocol

Two possible paths to create a personalized longevity plan

Main Goal

The goal of the Longevity Protocols project is to enable you to create a personalized longevity plan tailored to your situation, needs, and capabilities.

Before we take on this important task, let's first recall the key information you have learned in previous lessons:

  • The most important goal in the area of longevity (healthy longevity) is not to extend life, but to extend health and keep the body and mind in peak condition for as long as possible.
  • Chronological age and biological age are two different things
  • Each of our systems and organs ages at a different pace. Therefore, an individual and precise approach to each element of our body is needed
  • Avoid words - labels and statements like "This product is healthy" in matters as complex as our health
  • Every action we take either accelerates or slows down our aging speedometer
  • A longevity protocol must be holistic – that means considering the entire complexity of your body and the environment you live in, treating everything as a system of interconnected vessels.
  • When choosing interventions, you should be guided by scientific evidence and only select those whose effectiveness is confirmed by solid studies
  • Every action carries some risk, but inaction also does (working out at the gym comes with some risk of injury if performed incorrectly, but sitting on the couch every day with a bag of chips is much more risky). The point is not to avoid risk entirely, but to calculate it – that's why with each intervention, a risk assessment of potential side effects is provided.

Starting Point

You should start your path to longevity at a time when you do not suffer from any serious illnesses.

In other words – you should feel generally healthy, which may mean you’re not in great shape, you may sleep poorly and feel constantly irritable, but you are not undergoing chemotherapy or treating a broken leg.

If you suffer from any serious condition, you should first focus entirely on treating it in cooperation with your doctor, and only when you recover should you start your journey to longevity.

Remember that all interventions listed on this site are dedicated to healthy individuals.

However, it is worth remembering that healthy sleep and proper nutrition are fundamental in any health condition.

Two possible paths

At the start of this journey, you have two possible paths ahead of you.

Maximum path (assault)

If:

  • You have enough money
  • You have enough time
  • You are sure of your determination and are not afraid that the amount of change and effort will overwhelm you and that you will give up halfway, losing time and money

Then you can follow the Bryan Johnson-style path and start from the maximum threshold, trying to take the topic by assault.

You should then use the services of a professional clinic, which will perform extensive diagnostics, provide access to doctors, dietitians, personal trainers, and offer various therapies and devices for home use.

Gradual path (march)

If you know that the blitz is not for you, then your path will be the march.

In this situation, you start by laying the foundations, gradually building your longevity edifice step by step through each stage.

First you take care of the basics, and only then move on to more advanced actions.

It is precisely the gradual path that I propose to you through the subsequent advancement levels in this section:

Which path is better?

Neither is better than the other; they can only be better suited to your situation, needs, and character.

However, it's worth remembering a few things:

1. Even with the maximum path, when using a professional clinic, it's worth equipping yourself with hard knowledge about longevity. You never know which clinic or specialist you will encounter and you should have the tools to have a partnership discussion with them. Don't allow yourself to be completely defenseless, or you might end up spending a fortune on therapies and products that bring you no benefit.

2. During your first conversation with the clinic, you will be flooded with a stream of specialist vocabulary, which may overwhelm you and make you feel like you need support – specifically, those experts in white coats from the clinic selling you their services.

But don't get me wrong – longevity clinics are often really solid companies with great professionals who can bring tremendous benefit to your health.

However, don't forget that they also run a business and it's not in their interest to tell you that many things you can do yourself at first, and only come to them when you are already at a higher level of advancement.

You can't really blame them for this, since they're running a business and their work depends on the profits they generate.

Remember that red light therapy, although it produces good results, won't make you feel great if your sleep is terrible, your diet is devastating, and your physical activity is minimal.

Don't start building a house from the roof. Lay the foundation.

Most effects, especially at the initial stage of your longevity journey, are achieved by taking care of the basics – sleep, diet, training, mental health, and basic supplementation.

There are plenty of things you can do to improve these basic elements of your health and you can do it yourself. Many of these things can be done for free and require only your determination and consistency.

This is the foundation on which you can later build and apply more advanced methods, for which the support of specialized clinics will truly be invaluable.

If you want to embark on the path to longevity, for the first year or two you can calmly focus on the basics, as there really is a lot of work to be done here.

Only after that, when you feel the positive effects of your changes and gain enough knowledge, will you be able to add more elements to your longevity plan, reaching subsequent advancement levels.
